  10. Beginning January 1st 1994  - SDN AreaTags will change.  The  old AreaTags will
  11. no longer be used.  The old Tags are:

  13.         SDN_BUSI  SDN_COMM  SDN_DATA  SDN_GRPH  SDN_GAME  SDN_MISC
  14.         SDN_UTIL  SDN_WORD  SDN_OTHR  SDN_TEXT  SDN_EDUC  SDN_SYST

  16.       !!! These File Echo AreaTags are replaced by the First Tier !!!

  18. SDN file areas will be divided into two tiers.

  21. FIRST TIER

  23. The  First Tier  is  comprised  of DOS  programs,  utilities  and text  and  is
  24. distributed by all means availible to  SDN.  It represents areas SDN originally
  25. began distributing in 1998, receiving these 13 areas constitues an SDN Site.

  27. FidoNet systems  already receiving SDN should  install the First  Tier AreaTags
  28. before January 1st 1994.

  30.  !!! The old SDN AreaTags should be removed (deleted) by January 15th 1994 !!!

  54. The Second Tier are optional SDN areas, new  to SDN, of which some programs may
  55. also be  availibe in  other FDN's,  many of course  will be  only in  SDN.  The
  56. Second Tier  is also  author-direct, secured  and verifiable.   Second Tier  is
  57. primarily intended for satellite and local calling distribution.

  81. Satellite downlink sites may redistribute or allow  links to any and all of the
  82. SDN  areas.   There  are  no  restrictions.   Depending  on  your  subscription
  83. arrangements with Planetc Connect.

  87. ECHO AREAS
  88. ~~~~~~~~~~
  89. The SDN Echo  areas of SDN_SYSOP, SDN_PUBLIC  and SDN_BOD will be  removed.  In
  90. it's  place will  be one  FidoNet Echo  named  SDN_CONF for  all SDN  activity.
  91. SDN_CONF should be  installed by January 1st  and the old SDN  echo's should be
  92. removed by January 15th.
